GENERAL: The National Park Service (NPS), Department of Interior, anticipates issuing a solicitation for the project described below. This is a pre-solicitation notice only and does not constitute a solicitation; accordingly, no response is due at this time. Specific instructions on submitting proposals will be contained in the solicitation documents. It is anticipated that the solicitation will be issued on or around 06/25/22. The entire solicitation package, including all attachments, will be available electronically at www.beta.sam.gov Paper copies of this solicitation will not be made available. PROJECT SCOPE: This project is for the installation of underground fiber optic infrastructure between buildings to create a campus environment. The project includes all labor, supplies, materials, and testing necessary to create a fully functional fiber optic network between five buildings with the Hatteras Island District of Cape Hatteras National Seashore in Buxton, North Carolina. It is the responsibility of the contractor to provide fully functioning end to end network infrastructure (fiber optic patch panel to fiber optic patch panel) for each building within the campus. Acceptance of the completed work will be based on acceptable Bi-Directional OTDR testing that fall within specified limits. PLACE OF PERFORMANCE: Hatteras Island Lighthouse Visitor Center, 46375 Lighthouse Road, Buxton, NC 27920 Principle Keepers Quarters (as known as ¿PKQ¿), 46377 Lighthouse Road, Buxton, NC 27920 Double Keepers Quarters (as known as ¿DKQ¿), 46379 Lighthouse Road, NC 27920 Hatteras Island Maintenance Shop, 46590 Loggerhead Lane, Buxton, NC 27920 Hatteras Island Ranger Station, 46500 Lighthouse Road, Buxton, NC 27920 PROCUREMENT TYPE: The Government anticipates awarding a firm-fixed price contract to meet this requirement. SET-ASIDE: This acquisition has been set-aside for small business concerns. Offers will be solicited only from small business concerns. Offers received from concerns that are not small business concerns shall be considered nonresponsive and will be rejected.
