This amendment provides clarifications on design and construction details for a pre-fabricated bridge project. The delegated design authority applies only to minor details of the pre-fabricated bridge elements, which are not fully designed as they will be built by a manufacturer. Specific clarifications confirm that diaphragms can be bolted (not welded) to girders, bearing plates must be welded, and hardware components should be coated to minimize corrosion. The nailer brackets are required with a maximum spacing of 5 feet along the bridge length. It is recommended to maintain no deviation from the existing plans for other design alterations.
