FY22 CARI REPLACE COPPER WATER LINES WITH PEX The National Park Service, Southeast Region, West Major Acquisition Buying Office, hereby issues a combined synopsis/solicitation for a requirement for Cane River Creole National Historical Park. The National Park Service (NPS) is seeking quotes to replace non-historic existing copper water supply lines and associated valves, secondary supply lines and escutcheons with new PEX (cross-linked polyethylene) color coded lines, associated valves, secondary supply lines and escutcheons at the Oakland and Magnolia Plantation units of Cane River Creole National Historical Park (CARI). The existing cooper water supply lines and associated valves, secondary supply lines and escutcheons were installed in 2004 (replacing galvanized steel and PVC pipe) and though they are insulated, because these are raised structures the winter winds continue to freeze and rupture these lines. See the statement of work for more details. PROJECT MAGNITUDE: Between $45,000 - $60,000. Davis-Bacon Prevailing Wages for Derry, LA will apply. This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; proposals are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. The NAICS code for this acquisition is 238220. It is the contractor¿s responsibility to be familiar with applicable clauses and provisions. This Acquisition shall result in award of a firm fixed price contract expected to be awarded by mid-March 2022. Evaluation factors: The selection will be made by evaluating proposals based on cost, technical approach and relevant experience. See clause section for weighting of these three evaluation factors.
