The National Park Service (NPS) Statue of Liberty National Monument (STLI) mooring barge is located in the Ellis Island slip in New York Harbor. The barge serves NPS and the United States Park Police (USPP) as a stationary floating mooring dock for securing of vessels as well as a passenger embarkation and disembarkation point. The mooring barge was built and launched in 2012 and since that date has not received any cyclic maintenance to the hull and interior. This requirement is to have the barge dry docked (hauled out of water), inspected for damage and wasted steel, repaired (if needed), and to have preventative maintenance performed. Contractor shall be responsible for transportation of the barge to and from the contractor¿s facility and provide for a temporary replacement barge to enable the park to continue its marine operations.
