The National Park Service, Northeast Region, New England Major Acquisition Buying Office, intends to issue a Request for Proposal (RFP) for a construction requirement at Fredericksburg & Spotsylvania National Military Park in Fredericksburg, Virginia. Work will consist of furnishing all labor, supervision, materials, tools, supplies, transportation, license, certificates, permits, personal protection equipment, professional services, and equipment as required to install a new fire suppression system in the Fredericksburg Visitor Center. This contract will include digging and installing new water lines from the street into building including installation of riser systems and sidewall pipes to include basement, first floor and second floor. SOLICITATION NUMBER: 140P4325R0028. PUBLICIZING: The official solicitation (RFP) and its attachments will be issued on or about June 6, 2025, and will be posted to the U.S. government’s website for contracting opportunities at https://sam.gov/content/opportunities. The contracting office will not provide hardcopies or email copies of the solicitation. PROJECT MAGNITUDE: Between $500,000 and $1,000,000. TYPE OF CONTRACT: This will be a firm-fixed price contract. Federal Construction Wage Rates for Spotsylvania County, Virginia will apply. North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) CODE CLASSIFICATION and SET ASIDE: The NAICS Code is 238220 Plumbing, Heating, and Air Conditioning Contractors, and the size standard is $19.0 million. This project is set aside 100% for Small Businesses. SITE VISIT: A site visit date, time, and meeting location will be announced in the solicitation.
