The National Park Service, Northeast Region, New England Major Acquisition Buying Office, intends to issue a Request for Proposal (RFP) for a construction requirement at Acadia National Park in Bar Harbor, Maine. Work will consist of providing all labor, qualified supervision, material, tools, equipment, supplies and incidentals to remove approximately 1088 sqft roof Asbestos Shingles and approximately 1180 sqft of Asbestos siding on Sand Beach Garage, and approximately 960 sqft roof asbestos shingles on Storm Beach Garage at Acadia National Park. The solicitation will also contain a Government Option for the light removal of lead paint from the garage of Storm Beach location approximately 915 sq ft. A detailed Statement of Work will be provided with final solicitation documents. SOLICITATION NUMBER: 140P4321R0023. PUBLICIZING: The official solicitation (RFP) and its attachments will be issued on or about 8/20/21 and will be posted to the U.S. government¿s website for contracting opportunities at https://sam.gov/content/opportunities. The contracting office will not provide hardcopies or email copies of the solicitation. PROJECT MAGNITUDE: Between $25,000 and $100,000. TYPE OF CONTRACT: This will be a firm-fixed price contract expected to be awarded to a prime contractor by early September. Federal Construction Wage Rates for Hancock County, Maine will apply. North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) CODE CLASSIFICATION and SET ASIDE: The NAICS Code is 562910 Remediation Services, and the size standard is $22.0 million. This project is set aside 100% for Small Businesses. SITE VISIT: A site visit is not anticipated to be required.
