The National Park Service, Northeast Region, New England Major Acquisition Buying Office intends to issue a Request For Proposal (RFP) for a firm fixed priced construction contract, subject to the Davis-Bacon Act to furnish all labor, supervision, supplies, equipment, tools, materials, all supplementary or miscellaneous items, appurtenances and devices incidental to or necessary for the project required to complete the work in accordance with the Contract Documents. Rehabilitate the 150,000-gallon Water Tank/Tower, Acadia National Park, Schoodic District, Schoodic Education & Research Center, Winter Harbor, Maine, 04693. Mobilization and demobilization, design, detailing, installation, testing, maintenance and removal of a temporary pressurized water supply system to provide potable water to the Acadia SERC campus while the existing water tank is out of service during construction, capacity for fire suppression is not required, exterior rehabilitation, interior rehabilitation and pump house building rehabilitation. The NAICS code for this project is 237110 and the small business size standard is $39.5 million. The order of magnitude for this project is estimated to be between $500,000. and $1,000,000. Location of Work: Acadia National Park, Schoodic District, Schoodic Education & Research, Winter Harbor, ME 04693. Tentative Date for issuing a request for proposal is May 30, 2020. Contract performance period is August 01, 2020 to June 30, 2021. Award is restricted to small businesses in accordance with Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) 6.203 -- Full and Open Competition After Exclusion of Sources, Set-Asides for Small Business Concerns. Once the Request for Proposal is issued specifications and drawings will be available for inspection without charge as attachments to the Request for Proposal.
