The purpose of this amendment is to (a) Post questions and answers from the organized site visit of 07/30/2019, (b) Replace the Project Manual dated March 2019 in its entirety with the Project Manual Rev. 01 dated April 2019, and (c) Revise all drawings from SAINT GAUDENS NATIONAL HISTORIC SITE to the current name of SAINT GAUDENS NATIONAL HISTORICAL PARK.(a) Post questions and answers from the organized site visit of 07/30/2019; (a) Post questions and answers from the organized site visit of 07/30/2019; Q1: Will we be able to have water shut off temporarily while working on site on the different water lines? A1: Yes, temporary shut offs are expected and shall be coordinated with the appointed Contracting Officer's Representative prior to the shut-offs. Q2: Will there be events we need to shut down for during the course of the project? A2: The park will be open to visitors during the course of the project; largest amount of visitation happening on the weekends. Most events that take place are on the weekend and if there was to be an event during the week, the park would coordinate with the contractor beforehand. The park's open season is from Memorial Day weekend through October 31, seven days a week. With fall foliage, the park can have larger numbers of visitors, which include tour groups during the week. These are scheduled groups in October, generally, which the park will know about ahead of time for coordinating with construction work. Q3: Is the 6" line around the park hooked into a water supply? A3: Yes, the 6" line is the main water supply line from underground tanks and the pump house to the park. Q4: Is there a detail of the hook up to the New Gallery Complex? A4: Sheet C6 of the construction drawings is what is being referred to as the New Gallery Complex. The details for the final hook up will be determined cooperatively between the contractor and Contracting Officer. Q5: Does the park have a plumber on staff or is that something we (the contractor) we need to carry? A5: That would be something the contractor would need to carry. Q6: Does the park want to eliminate as much surface disturbance as possible? A6: Yes Q7: Are there any structural plans for the horizontal boring? A7: No, at this time there are not. Q8: Is directional boring to be used in the Ravine Studio area too? A8: Yes; the park understands there may be some changes and some areas will need to be evaluated as we get into the project. Q9: What if we run into something while boring? A9: Every situation will be handled on an individual basis. Assume for bidding purposes that you will not run into anything. Q10: What is this building marked on the drawing south of the cutting garden? A10: On sheet C-1, the building placed to the south edge of the cutting garden is a mistake; that building does not exist. Q11: Is the contractor responsible for replanting disturbed areas in the cutting garden? A11: No, the park will be responsible for replanting areas disturbed in the gardens. Q12: Does the park have the funding for this project? A12: Yes, the park has the funding for this project. Q13: The panels in the Picture Gallery and New Studio appear to be sub-panels. Where is the main panel that feeds them? A13: The panels in the Picture Gallery and New Studio are fed from the large panels in the Visitor Center. (b) Replace the Project Manual dated March 2019 in its entirety with the Project Manual Rev. 01 dated April 2019. (4) The Products Requirements section is renumbered: From 01 67 00 Product Requirements to 01 60 00 Product Requirements. (c) Revise all drawings from SAINT GAUDENS NATIONAL HISTORIC SITE to the current name of SAINT GAUDENS NATIONAL HISTORICAL PARK. As a result of this amendment, the Bid's due date is extended from 2:00pm ET on 08/09/2019 to 2:00 pm ET on 08/16/2019. There is no change to the Government's estimated magnitude of this requirement which remains between $250,000 and $500,000 - inclusive of all options. Acknowledge all amendments with Bid.
