Synopsis Project Name: Vehicle Denial Barrier Background: The Department of the Interior, National Park Service, Interior Region 1, North Atlantic-Appalachian intends to issue a Request for Proposal for the following project: The Work includes all work associated with the installation of vehicle denial barriers designed and installed per ASTM F2656-07 conditional designation series M, and associated site construction, as described in the Contract Documents. There is a total of eight (8) installation areas throughout the Independence Visitor Center (IVC) block, Liberty Bell Center (LBC) block and Independence (INDE) Square block. Existing site conditions to be removed and replaced in kind. All work performed shall be within compliance of the specifications and drawings. All supplies for in-kind materials shall be in accordance with the specifications noted. The solicitation, including all bid documents, will be posted to the websites http://www.fedbizopps.gov and https://www.fedconnect.net on or about July 7,2020. Hard copies of the solicitation will not be mailed or issued. To receive the solicitation package, you must download it from one of the above sites. It is therefore the contractor's responsibility to check the internet site daily for any posted changes to the solicitation. Contractors must be registered in SAM, System for Award Management, in order to receive contract awards. This will be small business set-aside with the North American Industry Classification System Code (NAICS) is 237990, Other Heavy and Civil Engineering Construction. The magnitude for this project is estimated to be between $1,000,000 to $2,000,000 and is subject to the Davis-Bacon Act. A Bid Guarantee will be required with the Solicitation; Payment and Performance Bonds will be required within 10 days of award. There will be a power point site visit presentation attached to RFP/Solicitation (due to COVID-19) and perspective offerors are encouraged to visit the site to satisfy themselves as to conditions before providing an offer.
