Project Name: Second Bank Block Wall and Paving Replacement at INDE NAICS Code: 238140 Masonry Contractors Set Aside: HubZone Background: The Department of the Interior, National Park Service, Interior Region 1, North Atlantic-Appalachian intends to issue a Request for Proposal for the following project: The Second Bank Block Wall site located at 420 Chestnut Street Philadelphia, PA. The purpose of this project is to replace deteriorated landscape features in the area of 420 Chestnut Street of the Second Bank commonly referred to as the Tea Garden. This project will replace masonry walls, adjacent walkways, and selecte landscape elements. This is an in-kind replacement, however at several areas the new masonry walls will receive stone copings (instead of brick) in order to more effectively shed water and increase the lifespan of the new wall. The new coping stones will match the existing copings on the brick wall to the east of the Second Bank. Other work includes replacing deteriorated stamped concrete walkways with brick; replacing failing holly bushes with new; and re-seeding the lawn where needed. All work performed shall be within compliance of the Statement of Work (SOW). All supplies for in-kind materials shall be in accordance with the specification noted in the SOW. The solicitation, including all bid documents, will be posted to the websites: http://www.fedbizopps.gov and https://www.fedconnect.net on or about March 9, 2020. Hard copies of the solicitation will not be mailed or issued. To receive the solicitation package, you must download it from one of the above sites. It is therefore the contractor's responsibility to check the internet site daily for any posted changes to the solicitation. Contractors must be registered in SAM, System for Award Management, in order to receive contract awards. The North American Industry Classification System Code (NAICS) is 238140, Masonry Contractor. The magnitude for this project is estimated to be between $500,000.00 $1,000,000 and is subject to the Davis-Bacon Act. A Bid Guarantee will be required with the Solicitation; Payment and Performance Bonds will be required within 10 days of award. There will be a site visit scheduled and perspective offerors are encouraged to visit the site to satisfy themselves as to conditions before providing an offer. The date and time for the site visit will be specified in the solicitation.
