DESCRIPTION: The U.S. Government desires to procure vendors who are able to provide all labor and resources necessary to rehabilitate Thomas House Geothermal Piping at Monocacy National Battlefield, on a small business set-aside basis. Be advised that the U.S. Government will not be able to set aside this requirement if 2 or more small businesses do not respond with information to support the set-aside. We encourage all small businesses, in all socio-economic categories (including 8(a) Business Development Program, Small Disadvantage Business, Historically Underutilized Business Zone, Service Disabled Veteran Owned, Women Owned Small Business concerns), to identify their capabilities in meeting the requirement at a fair market price. Some of the duties include: Draining the system, removing the old circulation water, flushing the system to get out existing contaminants and refilling the system with properly mixed water and chemical solution (40 percent glycol). Properly removing the existing piping without damage to the HVAC system and installation of new HDPE on all interior sections. New circulation pumps will be furnished and plumbed to the new HDPE piping. All the valves, solenoids or any additional equipment that are in the loop system will be re-plumbed to the new HDPE pipe. This requirement is anticipated to be awarded as a Firm-Fixed-Price award. Refer to attached documents for full details.
