In phase one, we are evaluating qualifications and capability to execute the full scope. The top five contractors qualified will move on to phase two. This project includes the site-adapted design, construction, demolition, and supervision to replace 13 existing 3-bedroom housing units at the Cape Hatteras Island District housing area with 12 new conventional single family 3BR/4BR commercial off-the-shelf housing units, or similar pre-engineered 3BR/4BR housing solutions. Utilities (water and electric) are already in place for connection and new housing units will tie into the existing septic system. The new housing units will include a mix of three and four bedrooms each with two bathrooms each. Two housing units must be fully ABA compliant. All units will be equipped with a residential fire suppression system to meet current safety codes.
