Freedom Riders National Monument is a new unit of the National Park Service (NPS) designated to protect, interpret, and memorialize the civil rights-era history of the Freedom Rides. The NPS is seeking consultative services from a firm able to provide sensitive civic engagement, master planning, landscape architecture, memorial concept development, and environmental compliance for the bus burning site, one of two units making up the new park. The park needs a Master Plan and Memorial Concept to direct future development and visitation at the bus burning site, which is currently inaccessible to the public
