The National Park Service has an upcoming requirement to rehabilitate exterior components of the Main Immigration Building on Ellis Island, including exterior window finishes, exterior re-pointing, replace deteriorated clerestory windows, replace failing skylights, and repair portions of the terra cotta roof. This project will completely replace all eight non-historic 1980s era clerestory windows that illuminate the Great Hall of the Main Immigration Building. The existing hardware will be removed and salvaged, if compatible with the new window systems. This is a pre-solicitation announcement, not a formal solicitation.
