This is not a request for proposal or invitation to bid. No proposal package, solicitation, specification or drawings are available with this announcement. Response to this announcement is strictly voluntary; no reimbursement will be made for any costs associated with providing information in response to this sources sought announcement or any follow-up information requests. If you choose to submit a package, clearly identify the park and project on your package: (GLAC 246349) and identify your socioeconomic status (8(a), HUBZone, Service Disabled Veteran, WOSB, EDWOSB, and Small). The Government anticipates conducting a competitive acquisition for this requirement. Analysis of the quality of responses to this sources sought announcement will be considered in the market research being conducted, and in the making of any small business set-aside determination for this requirement. The size of a small business firm includes all parents, subsidiaries, affiliates, etc.-see 13 CFR 121.108. All firms should be registered and certified in www.SAM.gov. Project Details: Glacier National Park Sperry Chalet Restoration, Phase II NAICS Code: 236220 Estimated Cost Range: $5 million - $10 million Estimated Period of Performance: July 2019 - October 2019 Project Description The historic dormitory at Sperry Chalet sustained significant fire damage in the 2017 Sprague Fire. All wood elements of the building were lost but the stone walls remained. Phase 1 work was completed on the structure in October 2018 and those efforts provided permanent stabilization with concrete foundation work and seismic stabilization of the floor, wall, and roof framing. This project is Phase 2 of the restoration and includes the remainder of the building finishes and permanent weather enclosure to the Sperry Chalet dormitory building. Specifically, this includes masonry repairs of the fire damaged stone walls, full enclosure of the building for windows and doors, roofing, and interior partitions and finishes. FIRMS INTERESTED IN THE PROJECT SHOULD POSSESS THE FOLLOWING SPECIALIZED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE AND SHOULD ADDRESS THESE SPECIALIZED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE IN THEIR RESPONSES TO THIS NOTICE: 1. Experience in rehabilitation / restoration projects of historic structures, including the restoration of historic stone masonry. 2. Experience with construction at remote and difficult to access sites within a limited construction season, working in extreme environmental conditions. 3. Bonding Capability - Interested firms MUST provide a letter or other proof of bonding capacity.
