This is not a request for proposal or invitation to bid. No proposal package, solicitation, specification or drawings are available with this announcement. Response to this announcement is strictly voluntary; no reimbursement will be made for any costs associated with providing information in response to this sources sought announcement or any follow-up information requests. If you choose to submit a package, clearly identify the park and project on your package (SAFR 174155 Replace Gangway System for the Historic Ship Balclutha) and identify your socioeconomic status (8(a), HUBZone, Service Disabled Veteran, WOSB, EDWOSB, and Small). Your email capability information MUST be 4 pages or less and be SPECIFIC to the scope provided. Your response is due no later than 5:00 pm Mountain Time on April 12, 2019. The Government anticipates conducting a competitive acquisition for this requirement. The amount of interest or lack thereof will determine the possibility of a competitive set-aside or full and open competition (the size of a small business firm includes all parents, subsidiaries, affiliates, etc.-see 13 CFR 121.108.) Misrepresentation of size status can result in penalties. All firms should be registered and certified in www.SAM.gov. San Francisco Maritime National Historical Park. Replace Gangway System for the Historic Ship Balclutha NAICS Code: 332312 Estimated Cost Range: $500 thousand - $1 million Estimated Period of Performance: July 2019 to July 2020. Project Description This project will fabricate an accessible gangway system for the National Historic Landmark Ship Balclutha's main deck. Using the Preliminary Design, develop engineered fabrication documents (drawings, specifications, shop drawings) for final approval. The Construction Documents are for a new 80-foot aluminum gangway with turn table connections at the ship and pier. The gangway will provide access from Hyde Street Pier to the main deck. There are no umbilical attachment requirements on the gangway. The gangway and all appurtenances will be fabricated and packaged for long term storage. No installation will be required. The final product shall be delivered and stored at the National Park Service warehouse in San Leandro, CA.
