Where will the 12 port fiber boxes be located? 2. What end and panel connectors are required for the fiber? Are both ends going to be the same or will different types be required at the different buildings? (Type LC, SC, ST, etc. Answer: The cable terminations preferably terminate as soon as possible upon entering the building. By code, the boxes and black sheath/outdoor rated cable shall terminate within 50 feet of building entrance. LC connectors will be used on each termination in a fiber wall mounted termination box. Then we would extend the fiber via patch-cords to our equipment. No specific brand of connectors are required as long as the termination of the fiber is located within an LC bulkhead patch panel. Both ends will be LC, the same type wall mounted fiber termination box and patch panel can be used at both ends.
