Can static pipe bursting be used? A. A majority of the waterline is in a new alignment or will require excavation for the placement of an underdrain so pipe bursting will not be a viable option in these areas. There is a portion of the work that pipe bursting could be used but a change in the acceptable depth of the pipeline would have to be accepted by the park. The new pipeline is designed to be deeper than the existing system.
