Synopsis - Notice of Intent to Issue Sole Source Purchase Order for Quantitative Clastics Laboratory Membership with the University of Texas at Austin This notice is in accordance with FAR Subpart 5.2, Synopses of Proposed Contract Actions. The U.S. Department of the Interior, Bureau of Safety and Environmental Enforcement (BSEE), Acquisition Operations Branch is the contracting office for this procurement. The purpose of this notice is to announce the intent to award a firm fixed-price purchase order with options on a sole source basis to the University of Texas at Austin, 110 Inner Campus Dr., MN 13, Austin, TX, 78712-1500 (DUNS: 170230239) in accordance with FAR Part 13 and FAR Subpart 13.106-1(b) for an annual Quantitative Clastics Laboratory Membership. The applicable NAICS Code is 519130, Internet Publishing and Broadcasting and Web Search Portals. The Product/Service Code is D317, IT and Telecom ¿ News/Data/Other Services Subscription. This requirement is for one (1) membership for the Department of the Interior, Bureau of Ocean Energy Management, Gulf of Mexico Region Office. The place of performance will be at the Contractor¿s facility. The University of Texas at Austin is the only source capable of providing this membership service. It is anticipated that a purchase order award will occur on or before April 30, 2019. The anticipated period of performance for this Firm-Fixed-Price (FFP) subscription is five (5) years, with a base period of one (1) year, and four (4) one (1) year option periods. The total period of performance, if all options are exercised, will not exceed five (5) years. As this is a sole source requirement, it will not be set-aside for small business interests. This is not a request for competitive quotes. This notice of intent is for informational purposes only. However, all responsible sources may submit a response describing equivalent capabilities, which shall be considered by the agency if received by the Point of Contact (POC) listed below by 12:00 PM, April 24, 2019 (reference Solicitation No. 140M0119Q0022).
