The Government requires a backpack electrofisher manufactured by Smith-Root. It is the only electrofisher to store Global Positioning System, electrical input, electrical outputs, warning codes, and performance information for every second of electrofishing. It is the only backpack electrofisher to have a built in Universal Serial Bus port to download all electrofishing data while also allowing the upload of new software. It is the only electrofisher with on-screen active waveform visualization, graphs of output performance, GPS coordinates, and alarm mode to inform about user-defined effort limits. It is the only backpack electrofisher with onboard tutorials describing voltage, duty cycle, and frequency outputs to educate users while in the field about appropriate electrofishing settings. All these features are needed by the BLM. All responsible sources may submit a bid, proposal, or quotation which shall be considered by the agency.
