The Bureau of Land Management, Oregon/Washington Office is searching for interested small businesses to perform Whitebark Pine Cone Collection services. To express your interest, all interested parties must provide a written response no later than the due date and time specified in this notice. The written response must include the following: (1) Company's Name; (2) DUNS; (3) Business Size*; (4) Point of Contact's (POC) Name; (5) POC's email; (6) POC's phone number; (7) A brief note of any related experience. If this requirement is set aside for small businesses, the anticipated *NAICS is 113210, Gathering forest products, Size Standard $12.0M. Here is an excerpt of the services required: General Scope: This contract requires services for tree climbing, caging, and collecting cones from approximately 30 identified whitebark pine (Pinus albicaulis) trees located in north-central Idaho (Marshall Mountain vicinity). Except as noted as Government furnished, the selected company is required to provided all personnel, transportation, equipment etc. Government Furnished: Cages and burlap bags are provided by the Government) The Government shall provide maps, GPS locations of trees; cone cages for whitebark pine cone collection; burlap bags; cone identification tags; and TREESEED forms. Location: The collection site is on federal land administered by the Cottonwood Field Office, Bureau of Land Management (BLM) in Idaho. Work will occur at Marshall Mountain (see Attachments: Maps--Overview; Topo: Aerial Photo), about 24 air miles east of Riggins, Idaho, and about 34 air miles north-northeast of McCall, Idaho. This block of BLM land located in T. 25N, R. 5E, various Sections, Boise Meridian. Travel to Marshall Mountain is approximately 30-35 road miles from Riggins, Idaho, and 35-40 road miles from McCall, Idaho. Access roads in the Marshall Mountain vicinity are natural-surfaced and primitive. This request for information is issued for the purpose of market research to assist in the development of the acquisition package(s), acquisition strategy and an interested vendor's list.
