BLM - Micro Communications Shelters This is a combined synopsis/solicitation with a shortened response time in accordance with FAR Part 12.6. The BLM-Spokane District Office requires three solar powered microsite buildings. The buildings shall be compact communication site buildings incorporating a faraday cage that can protect the sensitive digital radio equipment and batteries from external threats such as: earthquake, snow, ice, wind, lightning, radio frequency interference, passive inter-modulation and electro-magnetic radiation and pulses. The buildings shall be constructed of thick aluminum alloy plating for excellent electrical conduction (RFI and lightning shielding) and high strength. The buildings shall not fail in severe weather conditions when emergency communication is critical for fire fighter, staff and visitor safety. These shelters shall have a self-supporting 20 foot crank up monopole. The buildings shall meet all R-56 standards BLM sites are required to meet. While this is not a name brand requirement, Pepro shelters are known to meet all the required specifications. Any other responsive offer must be equivalent in specifications, performance and warranty. Basic Contracting Requirements: 1. Active registration - www.sam.gov 2.
