EXCAVATOR UPGRADE The Bureau of Land Management (BLM), Nevada State Office seeks to acquire an auxiliary Power Pack upgrade to the existing Fuels Excavator to support both fire and fuels management projects. Additionally, to accommodate the increase in horsepower, the program seeks to acquire a larger grinding head to accompany the powerpack. And, because of the increase power, a larger bucket and thumb combination would be critical in supporting the district¿s mining reclamation program and fire line rehabilitation. This power pack upgrade requires FECON equipment, and a vendor approved / authorized to work on Caterpillar excavators to make sure the new equipment is compatible and operational. Vendor must be able to provide and install all requested items onto existing Fuels excavator. All items installed must be fully operational. The Solicitation will include contract documents with details of the project when it is released. Notice to Offeror(s): Funds are not presently available for this effort. No award will be made under this solicitation until funds are available. The Government reserves the right to cancel this solicitation, either before or after closing date. In the event the Government cancels this solicitation, the government has no obligation to reimburse an offeror for any costs. Quotes must be valid through September 30, 2022. The BLM anticipates issuing a single firm fixed price award from this solicitation. The NAICS code for this acquisition is 333120, Construction Machinery Manufacturing and the size standard is 1,250. A Request for Proposal (RFP) solicitation package will be available electronically on or about Wednesday July 27, 2022, at the SAM website located at www.sam.gov. Proposals will be due no later than Friday August 12, 2022. Potential offerors are responsible for monitoring www.sam.gov for the release of the solicitation package, for any other pertinent information, and for downloading a complete copy of the solicitation package. The government will not provide paper copies of the solicitation. To be eligible for contract award, offerors must be registered, and currently active, and complete the online Representations and Certification in the System for Award Management (SAM) data base via website: http://www.sam.gov. Award will be based on Best Value to the Government in accordance with Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR). The Government reserves the right to award a contract to other than the low offeror(s). This notice does not obligate the government to award a contract nor does it obligate the government to pay for any proposal preparation costs. The primary Point of Contact is Matthew B.
