West Side Mastication Project BLM Nevada State Office 140L3922R0018 The Bureau of Land Management (BLM), Battle Mountain District Office has a requirement for tree thinning (mastication/grinding) treatment. The treatment of approximately 519 acres of single-leaf pinyon pine (Pinus monophylla) and Utah juniper (Juniperus osteosperma) is required. The service requested is the mastication or grinding of whole tree biomass. The use of mechanical equipment fitted with tracks or low-pressure tires is permissible for this work. The purpose of the project is to improve the overall health of sagebrush and woodland ecological sites, modify fuel loading to reduce the risk and severity of wildfire, and to improve wildlife habitat and other watershed values. The BLM intends to issue a solicitation as a Small Business Set Aside, The BLM anticipates issuing a single firm fixed price award from this solicitation. The NAICS code for this acquisition is 115310, Support Activities for Forestry, Fuels Management Service and the size standard is $20.5M. A Request for Proposal (RFP) solicitation package will be available electronically on or about July 07, 2022, through the Government Point of Entry (GPE) website located at www.sam.gov. Proposals will be due no later than July 22, 2022. Potential offerors are responsible for monitoring www.sam.gov for the release of the solicitation package, for any other pertinent information, and for downloading a complete copy of the solicitation package. The government will not provide paper copies of the solicitation. To be eligible for contract award, offerors must be registered, and currently active, and complete the online Representations and Certification in the System for Award Management (SAM) data base via website: http://www.sam.gov. Award will be based on Best Value, Trade Off process in accordance with Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR). The Government reserves the right to award a contract to other than the low offeror(s).
