The pricing schedule will be per acre: 96 acres @ $_________________ per acre = $______________________ Q1. Incumbent Information: Could you please share the name of the incumbent contractor currently performing these services? A1. There is not an incumbent. Q2. In the SOW it states 'removal' for multiple prescription line items. This does not mean removal via hauling off correct? All fuel and vegetation will be dispersed within Rx units, not physically removed from the project site via truck/trailer? A2. Removal means cut and dragged and either dispersed into the RX Unit or incorporated into existing piles. Q3. For price schedule reasons, how many acres does the project come out to? A3. See attached maps. Waugh Mountain 28 acres, Stoney Face 68 acres. Q4. How many acres does the project come out to? A4. Total 96 acres, see above Q5. Project Scope Clarification: We aim to fully understand the exact scope of work, including any potential challenges or specific requirements that are crucial for successful execution. Are there any particular areas within the project scope that require special attention or consideration? A5. Items were addressed in the SOW or in the questions included here. Q6. Understanding the key factors that will be evaluated in the proposal will help us align our submission with the client's expectations. Could you please elaborate on the most critical evaluation criteria for this project? A6. The evaluation criteria are listed under provision 52.212-1 on page 5 of the solicitation. The information we need to see with your quote is listed under each factor. Award will be made on a lowest priced technically acceptable basis and the criteria are not ranked in importance. Q7. Site Conditions: Information regarding any recent changes or specific conditions of the project sites that might affect our approach and planning would be invaluable. Are there any site-specific details or recent developments that we should be aware of? A7. A site visit was held on June 25. Per the SOW "These areas have been recently logged. Google Earth Imagery, NAIP imagery and other sources of imagery were captured prior to the completion of the logging efforts. Tree densities shown in the imagery may be vastly different in this imagery than actual conditions on the ground. Access into this treatment area requires entry through a locked gate, so the pre-bid tour would be the best time to see the treatment areas." This vendor was informed they should attend and afterwards let the Contracting Officer know if they had any questions that were not answered by the site visit. One consideration that was discussed on the site tour was the elevation of the projects and timing of work to beat snow in the fall and if necessary, re-entry in the spring. Typical conditions in this area are snowfall begins late October-early November, and snow melt in the spring would occur mid-late April. Q8. Is it possible to extend the period of performance this work needs to be completed within? A8. Yes. Per the discussion above the period of performance end date is extended to September 30, 2025. The POP will be date of award (approx. July 22, 2024) through September 30, 2025. Q9. Is this job is intended to have the fireline clearing done with machines or by hand, or both? A9. By hand only Q10. There was a question or clarification that we were asked about the existing machine piles. There are several within or near the project area. A10. We are not asking the vendor to do anything with the machine piles. They are however allowed to add any material that they cut to the piles if they are nearby, we just ask that no new piles be created. Q11. Would it be ok to allow some type of mower along the edge, particularly in the ground juniper? A11. Mowers can not be utilized in this contract. - End-
