GAOA - UPPER SNAKE ROAD MAINTENANCE 2023 The subject requirement consists of all labor, supervision, transportation, equipment, tools, supplies, and materials to perform maintenance/improvements of roads to specified dimensions and loading, hauling, placing, shaping, watering and compaction of contractor furnished surfacing aggregate material to BLM roads. Roads shall be graded and compacted to the template provided (Section 301, Figure 1). Material shall be Grade B (Subbase) according to Standard Specifications for Construction of Roads and Bridges on Federal Highway Projects, FP 14, Table 703-2. Work includes approximately (42.45) miles of pulling surface aggregate from the ditches, grading, and reshaping of naturally surfaced existing roads. Road width varies but surface course should be placed with a compacted thickness of (6) inches. Prior to placement of road surfacing material, the road prism and ditches shall be reconditioned, and the ditches shall be cleaned. Construct (1) new ditch in cases where roads have no existing ditches. 500 cubic yards of contractor furnished Grade B surface material shall be placed onsite at locations determined by the contracting officer¿s representative (COR) during the period of performance. Work includes mobilization, traffic signing, site preparation, watering, grading, materials testing, compaction and finish work. There has been one mobilization allocated for this project. The Contractor shall be responsible for all costs associated with additional mobilizations. Any damage to project site access roads caused by travel back and forth to the project site must be repaired at the contractor expense. The project location is approximately 12 miles West of Dubois, Idaho. Plans and drawings will be issued with the solicitation. More details are listed on the attached announcement.
