NOTICE OF INTENT TO SOLE SOURCE The Bureau of Land Management (BLM), Department of Interior, Farmington District Office intends to award a sole source purchase order (PO) to San Juan County under the authority of 41 U.S.C 253(c)(1) and Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) 6.302-1 - Only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirement. The National American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code for this requirement is 922120 - Police Protection. San Juan County, 100 South Oliver Drive, Aztec, NM, 87410 is determined to be the only source that can fill the need of this requirement. San Juan County Sheriff's Department will assist the BLM in the administration and regulation of the use and occupancy of public lands focusing on combating all illegal dumping on public lands within San Juan County. The San Juan County Sheriff¿s Office will enforce the civil and criminal laws of the State and/or county on public lands, waters, roads, and trails administered by the BLM with reimbursement by the BLM, in accordance with the actual costs associated with conducting these patrols and investigations. This action will result in a Firm Fixed Price PO with a period of performance that shall not exceed 2 years. The Notice of Intent to award a sole source contract is not a request for competitive proposals. BLM has only one know source for this procurement that is in the Government best interest. Interested parties must express their interest and shall submit their capability statement and any other information considered pertinent to the Contracting Officer no later than May 13, 2020, 4:30 PM MT.
