Z--Red Mountain Road Upgrade 2026
This project involves road upgrading work along 12 miles of Red Mountain Road, a rural dirt and aggregate road in a steep, mountainous setting. The primary work includes site-specific upgrades at 12 locations, such as culvert replacements, installation of rocked drivable dips, rock armoring, and placement of rock base material on certain road segments. The contractor is responsible for preparing the roadway for equipment access through brushing and smoothing, and must not disturb existing drainage features without approval. Two additional sites are included as additive line items for potential extra work. Prior to work starting, the BLM will stake and flag the individual treatment sites.
