RADIOCARBON ANALYSIS UTILIZING MICADAS TECHNOLOGY REQUEST FOR QUOTE This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; quotations/proposals are being requested and a separate written solicitation will not be issued. This solicitation number is issued as a request for quotation (RFQ) 140G0323Q0067. This solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular (FAC) 2023-01 effective December 30, 2022. This acquisition is full and open competition. The US Geological Survey, Alaska Science Center (ASC) requires radiocarbon analysis utilizing Mini Carbon Dating System (MICADAS) technology with the dual capability to analyze both graphite and gas-ion sources, and must also have the capability to analyze small samples less than 1 mg as described in the attached statement of work (SOW). All services will be performed at the contractor's facility. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code 541380, Testing Laboratories and Services, and associated size standard $19 million applies to this announcement, along with Product Service Code B530 Special Studies/Analysis- Seismological. This service is subject to the Service Contract Labor Standards Wage Determinations. Quotes shall only be accepted through electronic mail addressed to the Contract Specialist at jongjoco@usgs.gov. All proposal documents required by this solicitation must be uploaded and received in their entirety no later than February 27, 2023 at 1700 ET. Proposals submitted by hardcopy or any web portal shall not be accepted or considered. Offerors are to include a technical description of the services being offered in sufficient detail for technical evaluation corresponding to the requirements in the solicitation as seen in the attached statement of work. This may include product literature, references, or other documents, if necessary, and is to include the place of performance. Period of performance and/or delivery dates are estimates only.
