SHIP DRY DOCK/REPAIR REQUEST FOR QUOTE INTRODUCTION This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; quotations/proposals are being requested and a separate written solicitation will not be issued. This solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular (FAC) 2023-01, effective 01/31/2023. This acquisition is available for full and open competition. DESCRIPTION The US Geological Survey, California Water Science Center, requires Ship Dry Docking and Repair Services as described in the attached Statement of Work. SUBMISSION OF PROPOSALS All services will be performed at the vendor facilities. There will be a site visit on 02/07/2023 at 1000 PT. Attendance is not required but strongly encouraged. RSVP to the Contracting Officer at capplegate@usgs.gov. RELEVENT INFORMATION The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code 336611 (Ship Building and Repairing), and associated size standard of 1,250 employees applies to this announcement, along with Product Service Code J019 (Maintain/Repair/Rebuild of Equipment - Ships). All questions must be sent directly to capplegate@usgs.gov by 02/09/2023 at 0700 PT. Quotes shall only be accepted through electronic mail addressed to the Contracting Officer at capplegate@usgs.gov. All proposal documents required by this solicitation must be uploaded and received in their entirety no later than 02/13/2023 at 0700 PT. Proposals submitted by hardcopy or any web portal shall not be accepted or considered. Offerors are to include a technical description of the services being offered in sufficient detail to evaluate compliance with the requirements in the solicitation as seen in the Evaluation Factors/Salient Characteristics (see Attachment).
