PORTABLE AIR COMPRESSOR REQUEST FOR QUOTE INTRODUCTION This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; quotations/proposals are being requested and a separate written solicitation will not be issued. This solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular (FAC) 2023-01, effective 12/30/2022. This acquisition is set-aside for Small Businesses. DESCRIPTION The US Geological Survey, California Water Science Center, requires two portable air compressors as described in the attached salient characteristics. Proposals must be submitted FOB Destination shipping to Las Vegas, NV, Zip Code 89120. RELEVENT INFORMATION The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code 333912, Air and Gas Compressor Manufacturing, and associated size standard of 1,000 employees apply to this announcement, along with Product Service Code 4310, Compressors and Vacuum Pumps. All questions must be sent directly to capplegate@usgs.gov by 02/09/2023 at 1000 PST. Quotes shall only be accepted through electronic mail addressed to the Contracting Officer at capplegate@usgs.gov. All proposal documents required by this solicitation must be uploaded and received in their entirety no later than 02/10/2023 at 1000 PST. Proposals submitted by hardcopy or any web portal shall not be accepted or considered. Offerors are to include a technical description of the items being offered in sufficient detail to evaluate compliance with the requirements in the solicitation as seen in the Salient Characteristics (see Attachment).
