The U. S. Geological Survey (USGS) is conducting market research to determine the availability of qualified businesses capable of providing maintenance services as described in the attached Statement of Work. This sources sought announcement is not a request for quote or proposal and the Government is not committed to award of a purchase order or contract pursuant to this announcement. The information resulting from this market research is simply for planning purposes to assist the Government in determining its acquisition strategy. The Government will not pay for any costs incurred in the preparation of information for responding to this notice. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code - 811210, Electronic and Precision Equipment Repair and Maintenance and associated size standard $30M apply to this announcement. All responsible sources may submit capabilities statement detailing the ability of their service to meet the Statement of Work included in this announcement. Responses submitted by hardcopy shall not be accepted or considered. U.S. Geological Survey Southwest Biological Science Center¿s Grand Canyon Monitoring & Research Center Statement of Work I. GENERAL INFORMATION A. Introduction: The U.S. Geological Survey (USGS) requires a service agreement for a Beckman Coulter LS 13320 Particle Size Analyzer and associated modules. The service agreement should cover annual preventative maintenance to factory specifications as well as on-site service provided on a ¿as needed¿ basis. B. Background: The USGS Grand Canyon Monitoring & Research Center (GCMRC) purchased the LS 13320 Particle Size Analyzer via Purchase Order G11PX01561 and received shipment on August 25, 2013. The Beckman Coulter LS 13320 Particle Size Analyzer is used daily and requires regular maintenance. C. Scope: The service agreement will cover: (1) LS 13320 single wavelength particle size analyzer, (1) Universal Liquid Module (ULM2), and (1) Aqueous Liquid Module (ALM). II. WORK REQUIREMENTS A. Technical Requirements. 1. Priority on-site service support and technical phone support, annual preventative maintenance visit performed to Factory Specifics, operator training, and proactive service to maximize uptime. 2. Annual services are completed as scheduled, on-site maintenance is completed in a timely manner to minimize down time. B. Deliverables. 1. An annual, scheduled preventative maintenance visit performed to factory specifics. On-site maintenance and repairs are completed as needed. On-site and remote service and technical support are provided. 2. The Beckman Coulter LS 13320 Particle Size Analyzer and associated modules are serviced once a year and additionally as needed. III. SUPPORTING INFORMATION A. Place of Performance: USGS, Building 4, 2255 North Gemini Dr., Flagstaff Arizona B. Period of Performance: 12/22/2022-12/21/2023 with four additional Option Years if needed.
