The USGS intends to make a non-competitive firm fixed price purchase order to Kinemetrics Inc, located in Pasadena CA for a channel recorder and seismic cables that is compatible with existing Kinemetrics equipment. Required Equipment: 114135-PL-Obsidian 24-bit 3+1 Channel Recorder Cable 853608-PL - Cable, Molder, Ethernet, m12 111063-50-PL, Cable, Hand Built Q330 to Episensor, 50ft Award will be made in accordance with Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) 13.106-(b) (1) and the procedures at FAR Part 12 entitled, Acquisition of Commercial Items and FAR Part 13 entitled, Simplified Acquisition Procedures. Kinemetrics Inc is, to the USGS the only source that can provide the necessary product that is compatible with existing Kinemetrics equipment. The purpose of this notice is to satisfy the requirements of FAR Subpart 5.2. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive quotes. However, all responsible parties may submit a capability statement or proposal by the closing date of this announcement which shall be considered by the agency. No solicitation will be issued.
