Architectural and Engineering Services - renovation of first floor, building 19, Moffett Field The scope of this project is Architectural and Engineering (A&E) services, from programming through construction administration, in support of the planned renovation of the first floor of building 19 at Moffett Field as part of USGS' broader Menlo-to-Moffett (M2M) relocation effort. The first floor is approximately 55,000 gross square feet (GSF) and has an intended use as office space. The second floor was abated and renovated in 2018/2019 at approximately 45,000 GSF and sets the overall basis and theme for design of the first floor. Program elements will be very similar, but the first floor will include additional elements beyond standard office space such as media rooms and larger conference facilities, and there will be some scope in the basement. Asbestos and lead paint abatement will be required, the design is expected to meet building and site sustainability goals, and the property is historically significant. The A&E contractor will be expected to provide commissioning services through a third-party commissioning agent. We intend to utilize the construction manager as general contractor (CMGC) project delivery method for the construction contract. We expect the period of performance for design through construction will be approximately 30 months with targeted occupancy in spring 2023. The estimated magnitude of construction is more than $10M. The USGS contemplates award of a firm-fixed price contract in accordance with the procedures of FAR Subpart 36.6, Architect-Engineer Services. The request for qualifications, including a detailed statement of work and contractor evaluation criteria, will be available in late November; do not submit your qualifications in response to this announcement. The applicable NAICS code is 541310, Architectural Services. The associated size standard is $8.0M. The applicable PSC is C1AA, Architect and Engineering - Construction: Office Buildings. This immediate acquisition is unrestricted (full and open competition) and there is no incumbent.
