FLOW CYTOMETER SOURCES SOUGHT The US Geological Survey (USGS) is conducting market research to determine the availability of qualified businesses capable of providing Flow Cytometer as described in the Salient Characteristics below. This Sources Sought announcement is not a request for quote or proposal and the Government is not committed to award of a purchase order or contract pursuant to this announcement. The information resulting from this market research is simply for planning purposes to assist the Government in determining its acquisition strategy. The Government will not pay for any costs incurred in the preparation of information for responding to this notice. SALIENT CHARACTERISTICS - Full spectrum, analytical flow cytometer - Instrument is capable of measuring autofluorescence as a parameter coupled with the ability to extract the autofluorescence from sample as a separate parameter - Single 488 blue laser, 14 channel cytometer with up to 9 fluorescent detection parameters - A single optical configuration that does not require changing filters - Highly overlapping dye combinations can be used including APC/Alexafluor647 - Spectral analysis and associated software capable of distinguishing overlapping peak emissions and still provide resolution - Ability to add additional lasers (red and/or violet) to provide capability to distinguish up to 24 colors - Small footprint system - Software and workstation capable of running SpectroFlo software - 3-year service agreement that includes on-site training ADDITIONAL INFORMATION The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code 334516 (Analytical Laboratory Instrument Manufacturing) and associated size standard of 1,000 employees apply to this announcement, along with Product Service Code 6640 (Laboratory Equipment and Supplies).
