QUESTION: Do you want dual operators instead of... BUILDING ENTRANCE AUTOMATIC DOOR OPENER INSTALLATION The purpose of this Amendment is to answer submitted questions. No more questions will be accepted. QUESTION: Do you want dual operators instead of singles, as the scope of work was unclear. If the USGS wants the dual's, the only logistics issue we see would be the right hand swing door on the exterior set of the vestibule at the admin building. As that panic bar is not electrified, the USGS would have to manually dog down the panic (keep it in the unlocked position) during business hours so the operator would automatically open on the right hand swing door as needed. We can always add an electrified panic bar and power supply and have it integrated with USGS's access control, at an additional fee, if manually unlocking that door daily is too much of a chore. But this only applies if the USGS wants dual operators on each opening and not singles. ANSWER: The Administration building main entrance panic door on the exterior set of the vestibule is electrified and will be controlled by the new Johnson Controls, Inc (JCI) keycard access system. Currently the door is manually locked and unlocked by staff until JCI work is complete. The door will be electrically opened during business hours and unlocked via keycard during after-hours. This is how the old keycard system worked before transition to new JCI keycard access so it's not new. We are working with JCI to install Request-to-Exit (REx) sensors on both the Administration main entrance and Wet Laboratory (West) doors. This should solve the issue with allowing staff to exit the building using the ADA push button using duel door operators in the Administration building and single door operator in the Wet Laboratory. QUESTION: Do you want us to include a line item for LZR safety sensors? Since these are low energy operators, they are not a requirement. But we can always put them on there as an option. ANSWER: Not at this time.
