The Department of Interior, U.S. Geological Survey, has a requirement for an airborne magnetic and radiometric survey over portions of the Mojave Desert in CA and NV. The order of magnitude of the investigation area is approximately 7,000 line-km (core area) with an additional not-to-exceed approximately 18,000 line-km (optional area). The total period of performance will be less than 180 calendar days from award, inclusive of flight time and data processing time. The USGS intends to award a single firm-fixed-price contract utilizing the procedures at Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) Part 12 (Acquisition of Commercial Items) and Subpart 13.5 (Test Program for Certain Commercial Items). The solicitation, including statement of work and source selection criteria, will be available no sooner than the week of 07/15/2019. The applicable Product/Service Code (PSC) is T099, entitled "Photo/Map/Print/Publication - Other." The applicable North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code is 541360, entitled "Geophysical Surveying and Mapping Services." The associated small business size standard is $15.0M in average (three year moving average) annual revenue. This immediate acquisition is unrestricted (full and open competition) and there is no incumbent contractor.
