This is a pre-solicitation notice only. This is not a Request for Proposals (RFP) and does not commit the Government to award any contracts now or in the future. The purpose of this pre-solicitation notice is to notify that the U.S. Geological Survey, Illinois Water Science Center plans to solicit offers for construction services regarding installation of dedicated electrical lines from an existing breaker panel to a gaging station located on the Illinois River Basin. The location is at Starved Rock Lock and Dam which is controlled by the U.S. Army Corp of Engineers (USACE). Additional details will be provided in the Statement of Work, drawings, and supplemental materials to be posted with the solicitation. This requirement will be under Solicitation No. 140G0223R0002. The Government intends to award a single contract. The applicable North American Industrial Classification Code (NAICS Code) is 238210 ¿ Electrical Wiring Contractors with a size standard of $16.5 million. This requirement is set aside, for Small Business. Solicitation No. 140G0223R0002 will be issued on or about November 28, 2022. The closing date and time for submission of offers will be contained in the solicitation package. The solicitation notice and any/all amendments will be posted and available for viewing and downloading at www.sam.gov at no charge. No paper copies will be issued. When the solicitation is posted, it is incumbent upon the interested parties to review the aforementioned sites regularly for any updates/amendments to this requirement. All prospective offerors must have completed online Representations and Certifications and be registered in the System for Award Management (SAM) at https://www.sam.gov with an active Unique Entity ID.
