This Combined Synopsis/Solicitation Notice is to announce the U.S. Department of the Interior (DOI), U.S. Geological Survey (USGS) has a requirement for the Drilling/ Construction of (7) wells, for monitoring in the covered area of Harlan Indiana, USA in accordance with Attachment 1- Statement of Work. The solicitation is being issued as a Request For Proposal (RFP). The policies contained in FAR Part 13 Simplified Acquisition in conjunction with the policies and procedures for solicitation, evaluation and award prescribed in Part 15, as appropriate, shall be used for this acquisition. This is a 100% Small Business Set-aside. The associated NAICS code is 237110 Water and Sewer Line and Related Structures Construction; which as a small business size standard of $39.5M. In accordance with FAR 36.204 Disclosure of the magnitude of construction projects, the estimated construction price is (a) Less than $25,000. An organized sites visit/tour for all seven drill sites has been scheduled for Wednesday, 02/16/2022 at 11:00am EST. Site Tour/Visit Participants will meet Shawn Naylor just north of the Hwy 37 and Bull Rapids Road intersection, outside of Harlan, Indiana 46741, approximately at (41°12'28.6"N 84°54'11.8"W).Vendors interested in attending the Sites Visit shall notify Shawn Naylor, snaylor@usgs.gov, and CC Sean M. Jones, smjones@usgs.gov by email, by not later than 11:00am EST on the workday prior to the site visit. The email message shall include: the firm name, address, and website; and, each visitor name, email address and phone number. Each visitor must have a government-issued, picture ID such as a driver license. No questions will be asked/answered during the site visit. All Questions must be in writing by email to the Contracting Officer, Sean M. Jones, smjones@usgs.gov. Questions are due by 02/25/2022. Questions received after this time will be considered late and may not receive a response.
