This Combined Synopsis/Solicitation Notice is to announce the U.S. Department of the Interior (DOI), U.S. Geological Survey (USGS) has a requirement for services, the preparation of thin sections from mudstone core and outcrop samples of stratigraphic intervals being investigated in assessments and research by the USGS in accordance with the Performance-based Work Statement. This solicitation is a Request For Quote (RFQ). The policies contained in the Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) Part 13 Simplified Acquisition shall be used for this acquisition. All requirements for preparation, submission, and receipt of responses as contained in the solicitation and amendments shall be adhered to.
