This Request for Quote is to announce the U.S. Department of the Interior (DOI), U.S. Geological Survey (USGS) Central Midwest Water Science Center (CMWSC) has a requirement for periphyton and water sample phytoplankton identification and analysis services related to the Next Generation Water Observing Systems¿ (NGWOS) Harmful Algal Bloom (HAB) Algal Community element. Specifically, this element requires the identification and enumeration of periphyton and phytoplankton samples preserved with glutaraldehyde from the Illinois River. The solicitation number is 140G0222Q0088 and is being issued as a Request for Quote (RFQ). The policies contained in FAR Part 8.4 Blanket Purchase Agreement and FAR Part 13 Simplified Acquisition Procedures, shall be used for this acquisition. This is for small business set-aside competition. The associated NAICS code is 541380 Testing Laboratories.
