This Combined Synopsis/Solicitation Notice is to announce the U.S. Department of the Interior (DOI), U.S. Geological Survey (USGS) has a requirement for remediation and repair of about 200 linear feet (LF) of wooden stairs, pathway boardwalks, and a pedestrian bridge at the USGS Sitka Magnetic Observatory, located in Sitka, AK in accordance with Attachment 1 Performance Work Statement. The solicitation is being issued as a Request for Proposal (RFP). The policies contained in FAR Part 13 Simplified Acquisition, in conjunction with the policies and procedures for solicitation, evaluation and award prescribed in FAR Part 15 and Part 36, as appropriate, shall be used for this acquisition. This is a 100% Small Business Set-aside. In accordance with FAR 36.204 Disclosure of the magnitude of construction projects, the estimated price is Between $25,000 and $100,000. An organized site visit has been scheduled for Tuesday 01-12-2021 at 10:00am local time at the USGS Sitka Magnetic Observatory, 500 Geodetic Way (Assistant¿s Quarters), Sitka, AK 99835. Vendors interested in attending the Site Visit shall notify Mark Nelson, mdnelson@usgs.gov, and Cc Don Downey, ddowney@usgs.gov by email, by not later than 1200 noon on the workday prior to the site visit. The email message shall include: the firm¿s name, address, and website; and, each visitor¿s name, email address and phone number. Each visitor must have a government-issued, picture ID such as a driver¿s license.
