USGS intends to award a non-competitive procurement to Telonics, Inc. for 90 satellite-linked GPS tracking collars for a study of big game movement and use of wildlife crossing structures along Interstate 80 in southern Wyoming. The order includes 45 collars configured for mule deer and 45 for pronghorn, with protective casting and programmable timed-release mechanisms. Telonics RECON-series collars are required for data continuity because they have been used in prior and ongoing studies along the I-80 corridor. The anticipated period of performance is 09/24/2026–11/23/2027. Vendors who believe they have a similar product that can meet the requirement are invited to contact the Contract Specialist.
