The USGS intends to award a single-source purchase order to Innovasea Marine Systems Canada Inc. in Bedford, Nova Scotia. The order covers 20 Innovasea NexTrak Acoustic Release Receivers (69 kHz) and 1 VHTx-69 kHz Transponding Hydrophone. The equipment must be compatible with existing Government 69 kHz acoustic transponders and suitable for underwater marine deployment and scientific research. Innovasea is, to the USGS's knowledge, the only source able to provide this proprietary equipment. This is not a request for competitive quotes, but responsible parties may submit a quotation for consideration; no formal solicitation will be issued.
