The U.S. Geological Survey intends to issue a non-competitive, firm fixed-price purchase order to InnovaSea Marine Systems Canada Inc. (Vemco) for 15 acoustic tags and 5 acoustic receivers. This sole-source action is justified because the required proprietary technology is only compatible with the USGS's existing network of Vemco acoustic receivers, and no other manufacturer's equipment can integrate with the system. The equipment is necessary for continued data collection and compliance with Endangered Species Act reporting. The contract has no option year periods. A vendor must be registered in SAM.gov to be awarded the contract.
