The U.S. Geological Survey (USGS) plans to award a non-competitive purchase order to Agilent Technologies Inc., based in Wilmington, DE, for a service contract covering their Agilent 4150 TapeStation instrument - Delivery Date - 3/2/2026. There are 4 option year periods. The Eastern Ecological Science Center possesses an Agilent 4150 Tapestation instrument for routine quantification and quality control of nucleic acid extractions and DNA libraries for high throughput sequencing. This Agilent brand instrument requires a service contract from Agilent to ensure it is calibrated and serviced annually, as well as ensuring prompt repair by Agilent certified technicians if a part fails. Agilent is the exclusive manufacturer of the Tapestation 4150 and the sole provider of "Agilent-certified" field and factory repair services. Due to the instrument's specialized nature, Agilent-certified service is crucial to ensure proper repairs and maintenance, maximizing the machine's longevity and laboratory productivity. In accordance with FAR 5.207, all responsible sources may submit a bid, proposal or quotation which shall be considered by the agency, however, THIS NOTICE IS FOR INFORMATIONAL PURPOSES ONLY.
