The U.S. Geological Survey (USGS) Geology, Energy & Minerals Science Center (GEMSC) intends to award a non-competitive purchase order to Hilgers Technisches Buero located in Koenigswinter, Germany for a Hilgers FOSSIL Spectral System for a Zeiss Axio Imager M2m microscope. There are no option years. Hilgers Technisches Buero is the only firm that offers a spectral fluorescence microscope measurement system available that can produce quantified fluorescence data (intensity, red/green quotient) on a single microscope platform. It also has a proprietary data collection and management system has been installed in approximately 25 organic petrology laboratories worldwide that allows the comparison of detailed data sets generated and promulgates a standardized test method for spectral fluorescence measurement of sedimentary organic matter. In accordance with FAR 5.207, all responsible sources may submit a bid, proposal or quotation which shall be considered by the agency; however, THIS NOTICE IS FOR INFORMATIONAL PURPOSES ONLY.
