Notice of Intent to Sole Source The US Geological Survey Oklahoma Texas Water Science Center (Integrated Hydrology and Data Science Branch) has a requirement to purchase a GEM-2H Electromagnetic Sensor Complete System manufactured by Geophex, Ltd. The North American Industry Classification (NAICS) Code is 334519. The size standard is 600 employees. The USGS intends to make a non-competitive award to Geophex, Ltd. The Government intends to award this requirement noncompetitively in accordance with FAR 13.106-1(b) (1). As the manufacturer of the sought after items, Geophex, Ltd. is the sole source for purchase of all instrumentation. No other vendor can supply these items as Geophex, Ltd stated they do not have authorized resellers. This is not a request for quotation, and the Government does not intend to pay for information received. A determination by the Government not to compete this requirement, based upon responses to this notice, is solely within the discretion of the Government. Respondents will not be notified of the results of any Government evaluation of the information received.
