The U.S. Geological Survey intends to make a non-competitive award in accordance with FAR Subpart 13.5 Simplified Acquisition Procedures to Wood Mackenzie for one time purchase of full subscription of Metal Market services- Cobalt with site wide license for USGS employees at NMIC. Currently Wood Mackenzie provides the service by expanding the capability of distribution of mineral information across mining, metals, supply chain, and market information. Wood Mackenzie is unique to provides detailed, hard-to-locate information on specialty metals, such as alloys, chrome, cobalt, graphite, lithium, nickel, rare earth, vanadium, etc., and information about these metals in global scale. The company posts brief alerts of key happenings in the mineral commodity industry each day on a special server and maintains daily price information on these materials. They are the only known provider that offers this service. The proposed contract action is for services for which the Government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source under the authority of FAR 13.501(a). All responsible sources may submit a bid, proposal, or quotation no later than 04/02/2023 shall be considered by the agency. However, this notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. A firm-fixed price award will be made on or before 04/10/2023. Email responses to hnair@usgs.gov are preferred. The NAICS code is 513120. The size standard is $15.0 million. The anticipated award date of the contract is 05/01/2023. The anticipated contract will be firm fixed-price contract. The vendor must be registered at http://www.sam.gov to be awarded the contract.
