The U.S. Geological Survey, Columbia Environmental Research Center (CERC) in Columbia, MO has a requirement for a three-year service and maintenance agreement for a Waters Xevo TQ-XS and Synapt G2-Si Liquid Chromatography/Mass Spectrometry systems. Primary use of this contract shall be to conduct preventative maintenance. The North American Industry Classification (NAICS) Code is 811210. The size standard is $34 million dollars. The USGS intends to make a non-competitive award to Waters Technologies Corporation, Milford, MA. The Government intends to award this requirement noncompetitively in accordance with FAR 13.106-1(b) (1). As the manufacturer of the Waters Xevo TQ-XS and Synapt G2-Si Liquid Chromatography/Mass Spectrometry systems,Waters Corporation is the sole source for technical support and maintenance services for all Waters instrumentation. No other contractor is able to provide an authorized, qualified Waters technician to perform this work as Waters Corporation stated they do no use subcontractors and the infrastructure of service and support provided by Waters to these systems is unique and cannot be alternatively sourced. This is not a request for quotation, and the Government does not intend to pay for information received. A determination by the Government not to compete this requirement, based upon responses to this notice, is solely within the discretion of the Government. Respondents will not be notified of the results of any Government evaluation of the information received. Note that the specific requirements are subject to change prior to the release of any solicitation. The USGS Columbia Environmental Research Center (CERC) located at 4200 East New Haven Road, Columbia, MO 65201 has a requirement for a three-year service and maintenance agreement to support the Waters Xevo TQ-XS and Synapt G2-Si Liquid Chromatography/Mass Spectrometry systems in the Environmental Chemistry Branch. The Service and Maintenance Agreement will require one (1) on-site visit per year to service and upgrade hardware and software for each of the Waters Xevo TQ-XS and Synapt G2-Si Liquid Chromatography/Mass Spectrometry systems per manufacturer¿s recommended requirements and intervals. The contractor shall be staffed with technicians certified by the manufacturer. The technicians shall be fully capable of providing instruction and routine maintenance service on the liquid chromatography/mass spectrometry systems. Requirement will include on-site support and technical remote support. Responses: All interested parties should notify this office via e-mail within the posted date.
